Fibrace provide FRP pipe fittings including elbow, flange, tee, reducer etc. Joint method could be socket, flange, Hough section, spigot glue or hand lay-up according to working condition.

FRP Pipe Joint Method

Socket Joint is wildly used in underground FRP pipe system. This method completely conform to ASTMD4161 and ISO 8639 standards.

During actual installation process, each joint is allowed to have a deflection as following table.

  • DN <500 mm        Bending Angle 3°

  • DN 500-900 mm   Bending Angle 5°

  • DN 900-1800 mm Bending Angle 1°

  • DN >1800 mm      Bending Angle 0.5°

Hand Lay-Up Joint is made from fiber reinforced material and polyester resin and it is widely used when the pipe need to transmit axial force or for maintenance. Usually the width and thickness of butt joint are determined by the diameter and pressure of pipe.
